I’m not going to act like I have a clue as to where the future of advertising is headed. Instead I’ll just assume where it’s going.
I think the way of social media will continue to grow. New sites and apps are being created everyday and who’s to say that one of them will not be the new Facebook and Facebook become the new MySpace?

These are announcement I made for my graduation. I used black and white to save on printing at home.
These are the posters I did for the WKU Theatre & Dance’s Children’s Theatre series.

Product placement shouldn’t be anything new to anyone. It’s become common place. Something we almost don’t even notice anymore and for some a game. I have a friend who whenever she watches a movie will shout out what product placement she sees.

In the past five years creating a campaign in advertising is basically the same but now you just have to be more thorough. The essentials are the same because you have to start at research and proceed from there. This has pretty much been the trend since the 60s. Research may actually be more important now with the economy in the terrible state it is. Now more so than ever, businesses are looking for almost a guaranteed return on their investment on their advertisement. The Internet also plays a large roll in our industry just like it does in almost every single other one. We are a web 2.0 nation now. The Internet is both a gift and a curse because it allows us to do quick research and allows us to communicate. On the other hand, everyone thinks that they’re an expert because of what they have read on the Web.
